IBL free agency filing date extended

The Free agency filing period was extended beyond the Executive Branch's meeting on November 14.

ROME, ITALY--The Secretary of the Italian Baseball Softball Federation (FIBS) announced an extension to the filing period in which player may opt for free agency for the upcoming 2010 season.  A player now has until December 20, 2009 to begin the free agency procedure.

The filing extension was in response to the anticipated restructuring of the various leagues that will be implemented during the meeting of the Executive Branch on November 14th.
